About
Why This Exists
It all started with a question I kept hearing from friends and family: How far can your Tesla really go? How much energy does it use? Is it actually practical for everyday life?
Turns out, a lot of people wonder the same things but have a hard time finding honest answers. So instead of repeating myself over and over, I thought: why not just show the data?
That is the idea behind this project. Real numbers from real driving, shared openly so anyone can see what owning an electric vehicle actually looks like.
What You Will Find Here
- Honest driving behavior
- Actual energy consumption
- Day-to-day charging patterns
No estimates, no guesswork. Everything here comes straight from daily use.
How It All Began
It started with the Tesla API (opens in a new tab), which gives access to live vehicle data. Using the X API (opens in a new tab), I set up a small bot that quietly tracks things like battery level, charging status, and driving activity. It runs on its own, collecting and posting data over time, so nothing needs to be entered by hand.
If you are curious, you can see part of this system in action over on X @HeyBlinkinGreen (opens in a new tab).
About the Look and Feel
If you have ever sat inside a Tesla, this might look familiar. The design is inspired by their in-car screen, which I have always found clean, focused, and easy to use. I wanted that same feeling here:
- Clean and simple layout
- Focus on the things that matter
- Visuals that are easy to read at a glance
Think of it as a friendly window into the data, designed to feel natural and familiar.
Try It Yourself
I recommend scheduling a demo drive to experience the car in real life. If you decide to move forward, you can use my Tesla referral link to either book a demo drive or get the car. If this project helped you, it's a simple way to support it.

I send out a newsletter where I share my personal experience with the Tesla, road trips, exploring new cities, and the little things I notice along the way. You can also expect:
- Stories from trips and city adventures
- Breakdowns of real-world driving numbers
- Easy explanations of charging and energy use
- Interesting patterns from daily driving
No hype, no fluff. Just real experience, made visible.
